If you own a Xiaomi phone and are facing issues with its firmware, don't worry, you are not alone. Firmware issues are common among smartphones, and Xiaomi phones are no exception. However, the good news is that you can recover your Xiaomi phone's firmware easily. In this article, we will guide you on how to recover firmware on your Xiaomi phone step-by-step.

Before we start, it is essential to understand what firmware is and why it is so important for your phone's performance. Firmware is the software that controls the hardware of your device, including the camera, screen, speakers, and other components. It is a crucial part of your phone's system, and any issues with it can cause significant problems with your device's performance.

There are several reasons why you might need to recover firmware on your Xiaomi phone. Some of the most common reasons include:

Failed software update: Sometimes, a software update can fail, leading to firmware issues.

Malware attack: Malware can corrupt your phone's firmware, causing significant performance issues.

Rooting or jailbreaking: Modifying your phone's software can cause problems with your firmware.

Battery issues: Battery-related problems can cause firmware problems, too.

Now that you understand the importance of firmware let's move onto the recovery process.

Step 1: Download the MIUI ROM

The first step in recovering your Xiaomi phone's firmware is to download the MIUI ROM. MIUI is Xiaomi's custom Android operating system. You can download the latest version of the MIUI ROM from the official MIUI website. Make sure to choose the correct version for your Xiaomi phone model.

Step 2: Enable USB debugging

Once you have downloaded the MIUI ROM, you need to enable USB debugging on your Xiaomi phone. USB debugging allows your phone to communicate with your computer over a USB cable. To enable USB debugging, go to your phone's settings, scroll down to "About phone," and tap on "MIUI version" seven times. This will unlock developer options. Now go back to the settings menu, and you will see a new option called "Developer options." Tap on it, and then turn on USB debugging.

Step 3: Install Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools

The next step is to install the Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot tools on your computer. This tool is essential for communicating with your Xiaomi phone during the firmware recovery process. You can download Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools from the official website.

Step 4: Boot your Xiaomi phone into fastboot mode

To enter fastboot mode, turn off your Xiaomi phone and press and hold the power button and the volume down button simultaneously until you see the fastboot logo on your screen.

Step 5: Connect your Xiaomi phone to your computer

Once your Xiaomi phone is in fastboot mode, connect it to your computer using a USB cable.

Step 6: Open the command prompt

On your computer, open the command prompt by pressing the Windows key + R, typing "cmd," and pressing enter.

Step 7: Navigate to the Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools folder

In the command prompt, navigate to the Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools folder using the cd command.

Step 8: Flash the MIUI ROM

In the command prompt, type the following command to flash the MIUI ROM:

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Note: Replace "recovery.img" with the name of the recovery image you downloaded in Step 1.

Step 9: Reboot your Xiaomi phone

Once the MIUI ROM has been successfully flashed, you need to reboot your Xiaomi phone. To do this, type the following command in the command prompt:

fastboot reboot

Your Xiaomi phone will now reboot with the new firmware.
